DUI REDUCED TO RECKLESS DRIVING AND FELONY FIREARM CHARGE REDUCED TO MISDEMEANOR

The Client was approached by law enforcement at a Dollar General Parking lot for allegedly being slumped over at the wheel. The officers conducted a DUI investigation and located a weapon in the Client’s vehicle. The Client was arrested for DUI and Carrying a Concealed Firearm, a third-degree felony, punishable by up to five years in prison. Attorney Anthony Rickman negotiated with the State and was able to get the DUI reduced to Reckless Driving and the felony charged reduced to the misdemeanor charge of Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
